Yellow marker on the map = the next mission. Follow the light column, the
minimap blip, or the arrow at the edge of the screen. The north gate stays
shut until every mission in your district is finished.
Aim before you shoot: hip fire scatters, and it scatters a great deal more
from a moving car. Head shots do roughly two and a half times the damage.
Bodies drop cash, and cash picked up off the floor is the only money in
this game that is not also added to what you owe.
Break contact and Nagesh patches himself up after about five seconds.
A vest does not come back on its own — that is what Gurjaap is for.
Get behind something solid: they cannot shoot you through a wall, and they
will come looking rather than wait.
Vehicles have panels, and when the panels run out the vehicle catches
fire and gives you a few seconds to be somewhere else. Shoot one that
somebody is hiding behind. Do not stand next to one that is already
burning.
Hit a street light above about 20 km/h and it goes over. It costs you
a little paint and a little speed, and it stays down.
CREDITS
Nagesh — voiced by the single recording you provided,
pitched between 0.46× and 2.05× depending on how his day is going.
Everyone else — oscillator blips, one per letter,
tuned per character. Gurjaap is a sawtooth at 168 Hz; Hishaan is a
triangle at 226 and barely moves.
All gunfire — a crack of filtered noise, a body
thump and a tail, in different proportions per weapon. Nothing sampled.
All art — generated at runtime onto 2D canvases:
every facade, hoarding, poster, portrait and road surface. There is not a
single image file in this project.
All music — a step sequencer running on Web Audio.
Four tracks, one per district. The Heights are deliberately fourteen cents flat.
Engine — three.js r169, vendored locally so the game
runs with no network at all.
